Truenorthlogic Named SIIA Education CODiE Award Finalist for Truenorthlogic PD
Truenorthlogic PD earns prestigious industry recognition for Best Professional Learning Solution for K-20 Faculty and Administrative Staff
Sandy, Utah — April 8, 2016 — Truenorthlogic today announced that Truenorthlogic PD was named a finalist for the 2016 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Best Professional Learning Solution for K-20 Faculty and Administrative Staff category. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier awards for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years.
Truenorthlogic PD, an online tool for managing professional learning content and processes, was named as one of the finalists across 29 education technology categories. Reinforcing the connection between professional growth and student achievement, Truenorthlogic PD increases educator effectiveness by putting a vast array of learning opportunities at the fingertips of educators, including face-to-face workshops and events, job-embedded professional development, self-directed activities, traditional courses, online learning, and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
This recognition follows on the heels of Truenorthlogic PD being named a finalist in the 2016 EdTech Digest Awards Program, along with the Unify assessment platform from Performance Matters. Truenorthlogic and Performance Matters merged last month to create the industry’s first SaaS platform that integrates professional growth and student assessment tools with powerful educational analytics capabilities, making it possible for districts to measure the impact of their PD on student achievement.
“The CODiE Awards are among the most prestigious in the education technology industry, so it’s an honor to be named one of only five finalists in the Professional Learning Solution category,” said Jeanette Haren, chief product officer for Truenorthlogic and Performance Matters.
“Every year the list of CODIE finalists is a case study of how the ed tech industry is using new technologies in combination with knowledge about how people learn to respond to customer needs. They’re opening doors for learners of all ages,” said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of the Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of SIIA.
The 2016 SIIA CODiE Award winners will be announced May 18. The top honor of best overall educational product will be presented at the Education Industry Symposium July 26.
